Camp Nou (FC Barcelona) Redevelopment / Norman Foster

Last saturday was presented in Barcelona the winner project for the stadium of FC Barcelona, the Nou Camp. The british architect Norman Foster presented the model of the new stadium.

The general idea it’s that the renewed stadium was a unique and distictive image for the Barcelona football team. At the same time, many services and features of the stadim will be improved.

In example, there will be separated the walking flows of the club employees and the visitors of the stadium. The accesibility for disabled persons will be also improved.

New Athletic de Bilbao Stadium, Spain / Cesar Azkarate

‘Athletic de Bilbao’ football team will have in a few years’ time a brand new stadium, which will be the replacement for the old ‘San Mamés’ stadium, a work from Manuel María Smith.

It will be covered with somewhat translucent panels during the day, yet they will turn silver at night and red-and-white the days there will be a match. It will be able to house up to 56,000 spectators. Work is expected to begin in June 2008.

New stadium for Valencia CF

Valencia has presented tonight the definitive aspect that the new stadium that will be built for the club will have.

That design has been in charge of Mark Fenwick studio, RFA.

It is based on the Valencia’s city map, being a tribute to the different quarters of the city, and to the Turia River.

nuevo estadio Valencia CFThe new stadium will have 24 main stairs, 22 elevators and eight escalators. It also will have 132 boxes and a stand for 1500 spectators. The total capacity will be 75000 people.

The honour box will have 150 sits, and a 350 square meters hall. This zone will be connected with the parking, the press hall, and changing rooms by direct elevators.

There will be a 3000 square meters restaurant in the complex, which will have great views of the field, for diary use. There is also a thematic area, denominated “Valencia’s city”, with the objective of giving uses to the stadium not only on the match days.
