Category: Urban planning

Bored of its showing off, this single-family house decided to attack MUMOK museum in Viena…

This asembly of Erwin Wurm, has been installed from october 2006 to february 2007, giving a funnier image and attracting more pics than normally, of this grey MUMOK building, located in the “MuseumQuartier” zone, one of the biggest cultural zones in the world.

This building, appears outside like a dark colored block, with its cover and edges lightly rounded and softed, It’s completly covered with anthracite and basalte plates.

A great lateral stair gives an entrance for the visitors, raised 4 meters from the floor. This locates the visitor in a medium height storey from the building, giving view to two different exposition zones below and above from the entrance hall

It was built between 1999 and 2001, and was done by the Austrian Studio “Ortner & Baukunst”
