New Headquarters for Caja Badajoz (Spain) / Estudio Lamela
Lamela studio, working with Hok (British studio), has designed the new HQ for Caja Badajoz. The proposal has been selected in an international contest.

The building will be a prism near to the 78m in height (exactly 77.8m), with a lower base. The tower will house the offices, and the base other complementary uses for the company.
The cost will be around 38 million €, and the result will be a total space of 25,833 square meters built.

There is not yet a date for starting the works, because there are some administrative proceedings to make yet, but it is estimated that the building process will last around 22 months.
It will be situated in the old fair place plot in Badajoz, just near the access way to the “Puente Real”, and Guadiana River, after the approval of the change of use of the zone by the city hall.

The company, in expansion across Spain nowadays, looks for an architectonic reference for the corporative image, as well an urban reference for Badajoz city.
